That’s it. The setup wizard auto-detects whether you’re on Docker, Kubernetes, or bare metal, recommends a deploy profile, generates a validated config file, and prints your next steps. No YAML editing required.

Route Your First AI Request Through AegisGate

AegisGate is a proxy — it sits between your applications and your AI provider. Instead of calling OpenAI directly, point your client at AegisGate:

AegisGate inspects the request, scans for threats (prompt injection, PII, secrets), and forwards it to the upstream AI service. The response is scanned on the way back before reaching your client.

Interactive Setup Wizard

The wizard will:

  1. Detect your environment (Docker, Kubernetes, systemd, bare metal)
  2. Show available profiles and recommend one
  3. Let you customize the upstream URL, ports, TLS, and data directory
  4. Validate the config
  5. Write the config file and print next steps

  1. Environment detection — checked for Docker (/.dockerenv), Kubernetes (KUBERNETES_SERVICE_HOST), systemd, air-gapped mode, existing TLS certs, and hostname
  2. Profile auto-selection — picked the best profile for your environment (quickstart for local dev, small-team for Docker/K8s, air-gapped for isolated networks)
  3. Config generation — created a YAML config file with all settings pre-configured for that profile
  4. Validation — ran 15+ checks (port conflicts, TLS paths, log levels, rate limits, SIEM endpoints) to catch errors before startup
